Essential oil is pure nature in condensed form. The oil is extracted from flowers, bark, wood, shell, leaves or other. There are several ways the oil is extracted. Cold pressing, where juice and oil are mechanically squeezed out, is one way. Distillation is another. Here, hot steam is sent through the plant material, and when the steam condenses, part of the liquid will be oil.
Warning that applies to handling all essential oils:
Do not use essential oils undiluted, either internally or externally on the body, without the expert guidance of a trained aromatherapist. This applies especially to pregnant women, children, people with physical illnesses.
